About Us

Our Mission

Our mission is to empower adolescents and their families with the tools, skills, and support they need to navigate emotional challenges, build meaningful relationships, and create lasting change. Through evidence-based therapy, we provide a safe, inclusive space where individuals can learn to manage emotions, develop resilience, and move toward a life worth living.

Meet Eve Rotman, LCSW (she/her)

Executive Director

Eve specializes in helping adolescents and families navigate life’s challenges using evidence-based approaches like Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). She has advanced training in adolescent mental health and emotional regulation.

Originally from Long Island, Eve earned both her undergraduate and graduate degrees at Ivy League institutions. She also completed additional coursework in pharmacology and neurology abroad, expanding her understanding of the mind-body connection in mental health.

Outside of work, Eve enjoys running, volunteering, catching up with her book club, or trying out new recipes. Fun fact: she once won an amateur pie-baking contest (the secret’s in the espresso powder).

Eve believes in creating a space where individuals feel seen, supported, and empowered to grow.

Additional Services & Explanations

  • What is Family Therapy?

Family therapy is a space where we work together - not to assign blame, but to build understanding, improve communication, and support healthier relationships. Whether your family is navigating conflict, changes, or just struggling to connect, therapy can help everyone feel more heard. Sessions may include teens, parents, caregivers, or siblings, depending on what’s needed. Our approach is grounded in empathy, structure, and emotional safety. We’ll focus on using validation, identifying patterns, and building skills.

  • Do you help students achieve their academic goals?

In addition to traditional therapy, SIAMC offers one-on-one mindfulness-based academic tutoring for teens preparing for the New York State Regents Examinations in Global History and Living Environment. These sessions are designed for students who may find it difficult to focus, stay organized, or stay motivated while studying. We provide emotionally attuned, skill-building support that helps teens succeed academically while also addressing the stress, frustration, or self-doubt that can come with studying. Please note that this is an educational support service and cannot be billed to insurance or included on a superbill.
